Who We Are
Our History
Established in 2019, Hiss & Crackle Records has become a vital part of the greater Newcastle music community. More of a Music Emporium than just a record store . HCR also offers Pre-Loved clothing including band merch alongside books , zines and other music related items . There’s also a stage which regularly hosts free, all age music events in a safe space .
Live In-Store Music
Regularly hosting Free All Age music events in a Safe Space on our in-store stage! HCR has hosted performances by Hockey Dad, Bad//Dreems, Nunchukka Superfly, Astrodeath, Buddhadatta (Japan), Sore Points (Canada) , along with a host of local and interstate acts.
As well as in-store signing events celebrating releases by Grinspoon, Skegss & Dune Rats .
HCR is an Aria chart store.
