Who We Are
Our History
Established in 2019, Hiss & Crackle Records has become a vital part of the greater Newcastle music community. More of a Music Emporium than just a record store, HCR offers Pre-Loved clothing including band merch, alongside books, zines, and other music-related items. There’s also a stage that regularly hosts live music events, providing a platform for local artists in a safe space for all ages.

We regularly host free all-age live music events in a safe space on our in-store stage! HCR has showcased performances by renowned acts like Hockey Dad, Bad//Dreems, Press Club, Floodlights, MessEsque, Nunchukka Superfly, Astrodeath, and Buddhadatta from Japan, as well as Sore Points from Canada.
